Hello! My name is Doctor Nathaniel Weiss, it is my pleasure to formally introduce myself to current and former patients of McLeod Chiropractic Center. I started working as Dr. McLeod’s partner in May of 2019, so you may have already met me already. Thank you for making my first year (nearly) a pleasant experience.
A little about myself… I am a born and raised, native to Michigan. I grew up in Upper Michigan outside of a small town called Iron Mountain (in the Upper Peninsula). As a youth, I attended a small high school called North Dickinson High School. During high school, I first became a chiropractic patient. I would consider myself a pretty typical chiropractic patient: I had chronic headaches, and I was at my wit’s end trying to find a solution. Unlike pharmaceuticals or over the counter drugs, chiropractic actually worked. This experience drove me to decide my future career.
I attended a local community college. About one year into community college, I met my girlfriend (now wife), Lily Weiss. Midway into undergraduate college, I transferred to Northern Michigan University, where I studied biology and chemistry. I obtained a bachelor’s degree in science at the end of 2012. In the summer of 2013, I married Lily. Shortly after, we moved to Davenport, Iowa. I attended Palmer College of Chiropractic. As an elective pursuit, I gained certification in Activator Methods. At the start of 2017, I obtained my Doctorate in Chiropractic.
My love of Chiropractic is an extension of my love of anatomy and biology. If you asked me what I was currently reading, it would probably be the name of a textbook. I’ve always been a tactile person (another hobby of mine is the piano). Chiropractic was a bridging of two things I love: being hands-on and the health sciences.
I practiced as an associate doctor in Grand Rapids Michigan. Working in Grand Rapids gave me a year or two to get my feet wet. While it was a good proving ground, the city left me wanting for something a little closer to the small town feel. As fate would have it, that landed me here in Three Rivers. It is my hope and intent to be here for many years to come.
